Budget beach bag

A day at the beach can be tainted by being unprepared. Iv put together a few inexpensive essentials that will be in my beach bag this summer holiday:) hope you enjoy!

Firstly you need a nice big, fun beach bag to fit all your beachy needs in!
This cute banana one is really spacious and I just love the banana print:) £4 in H&M!

Sun cream is an obvious choice... I like the SPF 30 from the brand 'Malibu.' £2.99 from savers.
Everyone wants that's beachy, mermaid wave look but I purely buy salt sprays because I'm lazy and I don't do hair dryers, straighteners or curlers when I'm on my jollies, so "Schwarzkopf got2b beach matt salt spray" is perfect to spritz and go!

Next up I bought some antibacterial hand wipes! I don't know about you but
I cannot stand sand on my hands or on my face! When your trying to eat a picnic and you
Get sand in your teeth!! Eeew! So these are perfect for wiping away sand and also sticky lollipops and any other snacks you might be indulging on:)

I always like to stay smelling fresh, so if you know your going to be at the beach pretty much all day, take some body spray and body wash. After a dip in the sea I like to use the showers provided on the beach front and have a little lather ( be sure to reapply your suncream after) I picked up the "simple nourishing body wash" from pound land! to help my skin from drying up. Then a squirt of any old body spray will keep you smelling nice and fresh throughout the day:)

Hydration! With my other half being French I thought this water bottle was
Highly appropriate. I like to fill it with water and leave in my beach bag for emergencies. This cute kitten one was £2 from primark.
Next up, nurofen. I don't know about you guys but the sun always gives me a head ache
So I need on hand pain relief! I picked these up from pound land!
you'll need a cool pair of sunnies, mine were from H&M and were £3.99 (BARGAIN)
Lastly, not really an essential but I loved it so picked it up, is this passport holder, card holder, purse etc type thing! Be sure to keep your important documents and money safe. This was £3.99 from H&M.

So guys hope you enjoyed this post.
Let me know what iv missed or what you like to take in your
Beach bag:)

Hand cream dream

In my book, hand creams are essential. There's no better feeling than relieving dry hands with a hand cream.
Iv just picked out my 4 favourite ones to share with you.
1) soap & glory "Hand Food."- non-greasy hand cream with Shea butter, macadamia oil and marshmallow. With its Classic original pink fragrance, the hand food hand cream gets a (very soft) thumbs up from me. I love soap & glorys original scent, to me it's a fresh, mild, comforting smell and I love all the product range with this particular smell. Leaves my hands feeling soft and hydrated and like it says not at all greasy. £5 125ml.
2) The Body Shop "Hemp hand protector."- hard working moisturiser. With community fair trade hemp seed oil and bees wax. Holy mother Mary this hand cream is a miracle! It's the body shops best selling hand cream for a reason! I feel like this hand cream would nourish the hardest working hands. After use my hands feel so supple and hydrated. I can't say I'm a fan of the smell which I'm afraid I can't explain for the life of me, but when a hand cream is as good as this bad boy, believe me when I say ul let the scent be forgiven. £11 100ml.
3) The Body Shop " Wild rose hand cream SPF 15."- hydrates and helps protect against the appearance of brown spots. With rosehip oil and community fair trade Brazil nut oil. Although one of my fave hand creams, again I'm not a fan of the scent of this cream BUT... Like the hemp hand protector it's just everything you want in a hand cream. The fact it contains SPF and targets brown spots and is rose, tells me this is to be aimed at the older among us but nether the less a lovely nourishing, thick, rich hand cream. £11 100ml
4) Soap & Glory " Endless Glove". -moisture mask and hand cream. This is a 2 in 1. So either you use it as a general hand cream or the way I use it is like it suggests... Slip cotton gloves on top and deep moisturise while you sleep. You wake up feeling like someone's been massaging your hands all night long.. Mmm;) the only way I can describe the smell is a girly, fruity, hint of citrusy smell! I have a feeling it contains pomegranate. This stays absorbed in your hands for hours upon end, I only use it once a week over night and then use my hand food on a more daily basis. £6.50 125ml.
So there you have it. My 4 favourite hand creams.
What's your fave hand cream?

Models own

Eeeeek... I love receiving models own in the post :) I took advantage of the '6 for £20' offer and got these 6 lovely shades plus an express dry solution. Here are the colours I chose:
APPLE PIE- green apple, minty shade which is from the scented range and smells of..... Apple pie!
PEACH MELBA- peachy sorbet colour, again from the scented range smelling peachy :)
RED LUSTRE- gorgeous, classic, deepish red hyper gel.
RED 'N' BLACK- dark black with red running through, more of a deep plum.
BRONZE RAGE-metallic, bronzed orangey colour.
INDIAN OCEAN- shimmering duo of blue and pink. Such a beautiful polish.
EXPRESS DRY- claims to dry nails quicker... I agree. Leave nails for 60 seconds then apply one drop too each nail.
Pictures is apple pie with a sweep of Indian Ocean on top just to give that shimmery, iridescent look. I must admit I feel like a mermaid with these nails ;)
I will picture the other shades soon but for now I just don't want to take this colour off my nails:)

What's your fave models own shade?

Mac Pro longwear

Mac Pro longwear SPF 10 foundation in NC15.
I bit the bullet....being a drugstore fan I went where I've never been before... Into the world of owning a mac foundation...and I'm impressed:)
Before now I have swapped and changed my foundation many a time, trying to find the perfect one. Although I've had to delve into high end makeup to achieve it, I've found my perfect foundation:)
Classy packaging, perfect colour, amazing coverage and like it says on the tin..." Long lasting".
With my job I work split shifts. So I work in the morning, have a break in the afternoon then back too it early evening until late at night. I had a constant battle of having to reapply makeup or take it off completely and start again. NO MORE. I can apply this in the morning and it will stay put allll day. I swear I can rub my face, scratch my nose and get a little bit hot and sweaty( due to the nature of my job, get your thoughts out of the gutter;)) and it just doesn't budge!
The pump means it stays clean and hygienic, the foundation itself comes out looking like a silky dream, not too runny, not too thick, just right! I apply it with my beauty blender and it leaves a smooth, medium to full coverage!
Definitely worth the price as it's long lasting. I find 2 pumps will cover my whole face with a decent coverage. It retails at £25.
What mac foundations would you recommend?

Cream shadows

Thick, creased and cakey.. That's always been my idea of cream eyeshadow.. Until I actually tried some! I saw these Calvin Klein tempting glitter creme eyeshadows in my local pound land of all places, so thought I would give them a whirl. There a rich creme based shadow but lightweight and mousse like at the same time. They stayed put for a good 5-6 hours and I had no trouble with creasing. I think the packaging is really cute in these simple little pots and so fit nicely in any girls
makeup bag!
I'm not entirely sure of a particular site you can purchase them from but Amazon , eBay etc seem to have some floating around. But have a rummage in the beauty section at your local pound land, you'll be surprised at the gems you can find :)
The cream colour is called 'bare silk' and is a really beautiful, shimmery sheer white. Perfect for use as a base or a colour on its own. The purple is called 'gold velvet.' It's hard to see in the picture but it's a dark, what I'd call, "grungy" purple with flecks of gold running through it. Perfect for smokey eyes and for getting that sexy, sultry look.

So... On deciding I liked the idea of a creme eyeshadow I picked up 3 maybelline colour tattoo eyeshadows. (2 the same because my mum wanted one;)) I got the shades 'immortal charcoal' which is an awesome dark, shimmery grey, and 'eternal gold' which is super duper shimmery.
Like the Calvin Klein, they come in easy, compact little pots.
They have a really luxurious, whipped mousse feel to them and are fantastic to blend with. I think these maybelline ones are better than the Calvin Klein ones. I wouldn't say they last 24 hours like the name suggests but then my makeup isn't on my face for that period of time anyway! Haha but they are very long lasting and don't crease easily.
I have my eye on ' bad to the bronze' , 'tough as taupe' and ' pomegranate punk' next!
These retail at £4.99 each which I think is a real bargain! But get to boots now for there buy one get second half price on maybelline products:)
What's your favourite colour eyeshadow?

Revlon colorburst

Addicted is not the word to describe how much I adore these lip butters!
With a fantastic range of colours I'm sure to believe I will be purchasing more than the 5 iv got.
The range of colours is to die for, the formula leaves my lips feeling soft and surprisingly hydrated, pigmentation is high and they don't break the bank! At £7.99 each, these lipbutters are going to last a long time and allow you to switch up your lip colours easily !
Boots revlon currently had an offer on at the moment...  2  selected revlon products for  £10 so now would be the perfect time to try these out if you haven't already!

Starting from the top left I have candy apple, juicy papaya, sugar frosting, cupcake and brown sugar. My favourite everyday one is sugar frosting and you can't beat candy apple red to tart up your evenings:) I'd like to get creme brûlée and and strawberry shortcake next:)! I might have to go and take advantage of boots!
Let me know if you've tried any of the revlon colorburst lip butters and which is your favourite?:)
Thanks for reading:)

Moroccan oil

I recently bought these three Moroccan oil products because I needed a saviour for my dry, frizzy hair!
Iv always had the Moroccan oil treatment but fancied trying there other products.
I decided to pick up the moisture repair shampoo and conditioner. I opted for the 70 ml bottles as aposed to the 250 ml for the purpose of purely testing the products and because of the price factor!
Both the shampoo and conditioner contain argan oil and keratin. Argan oil is valued for its nourishing properties and keratin is the main component that makes up hair, skin and nails. Iv really enjoyed using these products and have seen an improvement in the condition of my hair. It feels and looks shinier and more hydrated:)
Overall I think these are really nice products that live up to my expectations and are worth the price. There not overly expensive but obviously more than your average herbal essences!
I'm not sure of the best place to order these from but I got mine from feel unique.
Have you tried any Moroccan oil products? If so let me know what you think:)
